This is something that has cropped up in conversations over the years. I bet you’ve talked about it too. It’s not that we have an unhealthy obsession with Tayto in our house!
It just highlights the innocence of childhood, when milestones were measured in crisps!!
I remember as far back as when a pack of Tayto cost 7p. My hubby remembers when they were 3p. And he’s only 4 years older than me!
So how far back can you remember?
I can remember when Taytos were 2p. I moved here from the states in 1973 and for 5p I could buy a bag of Taytos and a bar of dairy milk – the full size one not the small one. Wow I’m old.
Hey, I can remember when Tayto were 2p! Then they printed a black square over where the price was so that they could print the increased price in white over that again, I think the next increase was to 21/2p. I’m giving away way too much about my age but so be it!
